Finding Words, Confidence, and Connection Through Play
When children don’t have the words to explain what they’re feeling, their behavior often tells the story. Anxiety, big emotions, school struggles, or changes at home can be difficult for children to understand and even harder to express. Therapy can provide a safe place to explore those feelings, build confidence, and develop healthy ways to cope.
Through play, children often communicate what they can’t yet say with words. I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families, creating a warm, supportive space where clients can feel understood and empowered to grow. I believe therapy should meet each person where they are and build on their unique strengths, needs, and interests.
My Approach
My approach is warm, person-centered, and collaborative. With children, I use child-centered play therapy along with sandtray, dramatic play, puppets, art, and other creative expressive interventions to help children process emotions and experiences in ways that feel natural to them. With teens and young adults, I provide a supportive space to explore self-esteem, relationships, identity, anxiety, and life’s transitions.
I also believe parents and caregivers are an important part of a child’s growth. Through parent consultations, I partner with families to better understand their child’s needs, celebrate progress, and support continued growth at home and beyond.
